The war
The war that is raging on and on,
And the shattered dreams and broken smiles,
The bodies are dropped on the land,
And the screams are heard through the death aisles.
It's not blood spread across the soil,
It's the sign of hatred for our own kind,
It's not lives which are taken away,
These are the hopes of the people left behind.
It's not revenge that started this war,
It's the lack of forgiveness in our heart,
It's not circumstances or things like fate,
But it's us and only us who tore us apart.
The war that is raging on must end,
And should mend the shattered dreams and smiles,
Recreate what we destroyed in our hate,
And hope to left alone by those haunting cries.
The war that is raging on must end,
And so should end the darkened lies.
