The Doll
A doll sitting in the corner,
Feels so forgotten,
I can hardly ever remember,
Who it belonged to.
Cause with time went the memories,
Everyone left it as it is,
No one remembered,
Since when it sits, no one knew.
But the doll smiling happily,
Always waits so patiently,
As if she remembers,
Whom she belongs to.
It seems to me she's waiting for,
The one who used to love her before,
But the child whom she remembers,
Must have grown old too.
I look at the doll and remember friends,
Who loved me till they met their ends,
But now I am left alone to remember,
That once I was loved too.
